I received a number of messages asking about my favorite setups so I decided to do something a bit different today and discuss the various classes I typically use. Hopefully this will give you guys some ideas for your own class setups!
If you enjoyed the video, please comment rate and subscribe! Thanks!
This is my first comment ever. I have watched every video on this site and other sites and I realized that you are a unique player but anyway why did you use stopping power pro when you already have FMJ equiped with your sniper?
I have not gotten this video to work; keeps giving me an error message while it is trying to load after I press play. Is it just me?
I believe its just you cuz it worked with me fine. Try letting the page load till its says its done then click play.
FMJ doesn’t increase the damage, it only allows the bullet to retain more power as it travels through surfaces. Stopping power is helpful because it effectively turns the entire torso into a one-hit kill. The only time you will get hit markers is when you shoot an enemy in the limbs (or if they have painkiller or last stand)
Thanks but unfortunately other players tend to say different things but i believe you are a reliable source so ill will go with your word on this
Thanks I’m like 99% sure on this, because the Barrett base dmg is 70, with stopping power it is 98, so if fmj
increased damage even a miniscule amount, shooting an enemy in the limbs would then be a one hit kill, but in reality, you will still get hit markers. A funny tactic though since I constantly seem to no scope people and only get hit markers is to then throw a stun or flash grenade, and the small amount of dmg the grenade does will kill the enemy lol
please comment back for this but i noticed all the great players dont use heartbeat sensors. and i suck without them. any tips on how to fix that problem?
I think the major objection to the heartbeat sensor is that most players end up paying more attention to the heartbeat sensor than what’s actually happening around you. I personally don’t like heartbeat sensor enough to make a class with it, but I have no problem picking up a gun with it. There’s no right or wrong way to play this game. If you have success with the heartbeat sensor then keep using it…never base how you play on what other people think of it…play however you feel most comfortable and where you find the most success.
Nice vids and some interesting class ideas!
You made mention of claymores and smoke grenades to get yourself out of “sticky situations.” Care to elaborate? I think it would be helpful to hear different takes on engaging/disengaging with a single enemy with superior position or firepower or multiple enemies.
For example, if I’m sniping on wasteland and an enemy tags me at medium range, I’ll try to prone, chuck a stun, switch to secondary (iffy quick scoper), crawl for a second laterally then get up and immediately book to the side, hoping to get a shot at an angle. On hilly terrain where I can play peekaboo with the enemy, I usually win these types of encounters.
I’ve seen a lot of players immediately go prone and just spray and pray, even on flat terrain, with various results. Some guys rush. Some guys even jump. But like I said, this is often against superior position or firepower (hopefully me!).
Do you throw a smoke grenade at your feet (ninja!), plant a claymore then book? Or do you have a specific tactic you use, for example, indoors as opposed to outside?
Keep up the good work!
@stylimitsu, it really depends on the map and the situation, there are times when you feel locked down by an enemy, where if you make a dash for cover, you will be killed…anytime that I don’t feel confident enough to win the encounter just based on skill, I’ll throw a smoke grenade between me and the enemy and use that as a distraction to get away. Once I get around the corner etc, I’ll place a claymore and then keep moving. If you sit there around the corner, chances are you will be outgunned if the enemy switches to a shotgun. So I’ll put a claymore because it’ll either get me a kill as the enemy chases after me, or a hit marker at which point I will know where they are. If I am able to, I will attempt to flank around the enemy…and knowing where he is is the most important factor. If he doesn’t trip my claymore, I don’t pursue it further since it means he is anticipating being flanked.
You can certainly use smoke grenades offensively as well, placing them at well known chokepoints and then flanking the enemy from behind while they are busy watching for enemies coming through the smoke.
Thanks for the response, kataztrophik. I find the smoke grenade takes too long to take effect; when I’m in trouble, I need instant distraction lol!
Will mess around with claymores, tho. I hardly use these
Show them no mercy!
I changed to the Killstreak setting you recommended, 5/7/9 (predator/Harrier strike/Pavelow) but I also used Hardline. Best bit of advice ever, getting Pavelows in many many games
Many thanks, much better than a 1 in 20 Pavelow from a carepackage .. and no risk of hijack!
Nice one!
Thats great rob_1171, I’m glad my advice paid off. Getting your killstreaks up on a regular basis can mean the difference between a good score and just an average score! It’s how I do so well, since I dont think I’m all that great of a player to consistently get 25-1 type scores.
just thought you should know that your classes are terrible. you practically use the same perks and equipment and just switch out different guns. i don’t see anything special about any of your load outs.
