Kataztrophik: Domination on Rundown (TAR-21)

Here I am with another TAR-21 video. I have these phases where I use a gun a lot for a day or two and then I move on to the next gun. It keeps the game interesting, since using the same gun all the time can make life pretty boring. So this is a Domination match I had earlier on Rundown.

This is a pretty beast score. 32-2. You did in fact seem less aggressive than normal. (Not a bad thing) It actually reminded me a lot of my own play style. The Tar actually used to be my favorite gun but then I dropped it in turn for the more accurate ones like the ACR and what not. I’ve also been using the RPD quite a bit lately and liking that one as well. I go with the grip on that one. Do you have a favorite light machine gun? What about a favorite SMG?

great vid and great score. I’m using the TAR at the moment too, gonna master it this prestige. I prefer the ACR and SCAR-H though.

I personally don’t mind playing defensively. I have a nice headset (Tritton AX 720) so I take cover behind the corner when I hear footsteps approaching. Unfortunately the enemy team always accuses me of camping.

    Hi

Nice vid and score. Are you playing the game on the PC ? XBOX or the PS3 ?

  5. Kataztrophik says:

The RPD is probably my favorite Light Machine Gun. I actually have a 37-3 game with the RPD that I’ll be posting shortly. I think my favorite SMG is the Mini-Uzi to be honest. It just seems to be the most fun to use. Not really sure why LOL.

    @dbeker, I play on the PS3.

@Michael, LOL that always happens to me. I’ve once been accused of being a camper when I ran around knifing people. I was like how the hell was I camping if I played that game knife-only. I swear the moment someone does poorly, they just accuse people of camping instead of thinking that they in fact simply played poorly. LOL

    Hi

I thought you are playing on the PS3, but can you tell me how do you record your games on the PS3?

    Thanks

  7. kataztrophik says:

I record using a passthrough device called the Hauppauge HD PVR, a device that you connect to your ps3 and your computer

Sick game my dude, you was focused, handled your business, and carried the team on your shoulders. Sort of like what you doing with MW2tips.com. You consistently post videos keeping us entertained, partaking tips with the nOObs,(I graduated though, University of Konzistence Kataztrophik Gaming), and showing it how it’s effectively done, on both aspects. Big ups on your 1 month anniversy, seen it on the other posting. Yessir, stay on the grind!

  9. Jason says:

*Anniversary….whoa, PSN is down, no COD, you can see how it’s affecting my motor skills! Lol!!!

  10. kataztrophik says:

Haha thanks Jason, I appreciate it. I still don’t know if I earned my diploma, I still have my noobish moments. But I’m glad you enjoy my videos and I definitely plan on putting out more content!

Also, in regards to me playing less aggressively than normal, I was a bit hesitant given the situation, with the opposing team dominating us in terms of flags the entire game. So I tried to be as big of a pain in the ass as I could be, and I punished anybody foolish enough to come near me =p

Nice K/D been watching ur vids for a couple a days now before gettin the game. I just wanna say good tips throughout ur vids, I like the famas best, has some decents sights on it.

Yeah I may have gotten a little overzealous, I’m still a freshman. Even taking into consideration it was the first game of the day, it was a hell of a way to start. My first games of the day tend to be ugly. But just staying focused and being aware of the particular situation you are in, you’ll cause havoc. Ask *Painisbliss*, he know…lmao

  13. kataztrophik says:

Haha yeah, I really feel bad for that guy. He must have provided like half of my kills. And I don’t even think he’s that bad of a player, just caught unaware half the time.

I usually start off the day pretty badly as well. This one was a bit of an exception. I fell asleep randomly in the middle of the day and woke up at like 9pm, then I played this one game and logged off. Rendered and uploaded to youtube and went back to bed LOL Though I ended up staying in bed on my laptop checking random things, among which were MW2Tips.com LOL *sigh* what can you do right?

Also, F the PSN network. I’ve been getting disconnected from games like 90% of the time. I swear I played like 8 games and I only managed to keep a decent connection in one of them. It was a 23-4 game with the LSW, so I might actually post that since I really don’t feel like dealing with the network issues at the moment. Not that great of a score, but I actually just prestiged so I didnt have much to work with. Running the 3-4-5 killstreak setup LOL. We shall see, I have other games stored that I can post.

Nice choice on the Tar21. To me, this is funnest AR to use. Once ur used to the recoil (burst shots are key :) , then u pretty much owned with this gun. A beast for CQB or even 4 mid to long range pickings, it’s my alternative gun besides the ump45 for every map. Silencer is my attachment for this gun :)

  15. Michael says:

Do you notice that you play better when your teammates are at least somewhat competent? I notice that my scores are ridiculously much higher if my teammates are somewhat decent. When I play with noobs on my team, I always end up getting killed by random enemy players from behind.

  16. kataztrophik says:

Lol it depends on the gamemode. In domination, spawn trapping is big so a lot of your success can depend on how good your team is. In something like team deathmatch, you teammates influence more in terms of where the spawns are. And unless your team is complete garbage and the enemy team has air support up the entire time, you can still do well. In this game, my teammates are at least somewhat competent. They weren’t necessarily getting stomped in terms of kills, just struggled to retain control of the map. And because of how aggressive the enemy team was, I sat back and played more defensively, which pays off pretty well.
