Kataztrophik: Team Deathmatch on Wasteland (WA2000)

Here’s a TDM game I had earlier this week using the WA2000. I have to say the more I use this gun, the more I like it. I end up failing a couple times this video as well, at probably the worst possible times.

If you enjoyed this video, please comment, rate, and subscribe! Thanks!

I don’t know why but I like this video more than the other sniper videos you have been posting lately. Nice work keep em’ coming big guy!

Good game bro! I also tend to isolate myself from the team, I believe the risk of dying is just higher when you stick with them, as well as getting less kills. What does that little skull mean when it appears? I always see it and have no idea what it’s for?

  3. kataztrophik says:

The little skulls mean that your teammate just died. So you can use that to gauge where enemies are roughly.

    @ kataz:
I have really enjoyed the WA2000 lately as well. Obviously it doesn’t have the power of the .50 cal or Intervention, but it barely kicks more than the M21 and without having to sacrifice crucial damage multipliers. Still one shot from the torso up, which is good enough for casual play and perhaps also is a good way to force practicing lining up the headshots (something I could definitely work on).

Secondarily, I should point out that should you ever be looking for another gamertag, Spacekataz would be excellent. It hearkens back to Spacecataz, the intro cartoon to Aqua Teen Hunger Force (in Season 4 and thereafter) involving some of the most memorable recurring characters: Ignignokt and Ur, as well as Emory and Oglethorpe.

    Nice game.

I think the wa2000 is great in that it’s the same one hit kit as the intervention or Barrett without stopping power, has low recoil and frees up your 2nd perk slot too…it took some getting used to, but I love being able to spam a few bullets in those oh shit moments.

I never watched aqua teen to be honest, though I have season 1-4 on DVD lol. Still haven’t gotten around to it :p

I was gonna tell you to ad me but remembered ur PS3 so ya good game good sniping hahaha almost got a nuke 24 kills game ends my hole team plus me where lafing so hard game winner just so happened to be a guy i shot and thought i killed but was in last stand behind a wall

  7. Clutchitize Me Captain says:

If you took off fmj and put on a silencer would the torso still be one hit?

  8. kataztrophik says:

No, a silencer actually reduces damage to 50 so a upper torso/headshot is only 75 damage. Putting on stopping power will counter this, making an upper torso shot deal 105 damage.

  9. QU1CK S1LV3R says:

Sorry for asking a silly question… but is the best sniper in your opinion?

I like using th .50cal but find you only have one chance to kill, if you miss then the recoil sends you all over the place!

Also is it a good idea to use stopping power with the .50cal

  10. Kataztrophik says:

I don’t really have a favorite sniper rifle. Based on just the numbers, the Barrett would be the best sniper if you use stopping power with it. One hit kill as long as you dont hit them in the limb. Without stopping power, the WA2000 is the best sniper rifle. The M21EBR is the best silenced sniper since it has very low recoil and it’s going to be a 2-hit kill regardless. I think my favorite to use has been the intervention. On paper, it doesnt seem like it should be, but in practice, I find more success with the Intervention than the Barrett. I’m still not done playing with the WA2000 and I just started using the M21 so my favorite may change. I think all the sniper rifles are really good actually now that I finally got around to using them.

Stopping power is a good idea with the .50 cal if you’re not the best shot. It makes the stomach/torso area a one-hit kill, so just aim for center of mass and you should one-hit kill like 90% of the time.

  11. rhinobo says:

If you throw a silencer on the .50 and use stopping power does mid torso remain a one hit kill?

  12. kataztrophik says:

Only chest, neck, and head will be a one-hit kill. Mid-torso which sounds like stomach will not be a one hit kill

Hey just a quick question, with most of my classes I use stopping power, but I heard you say in this video that SP (stopping power) doesn’t affect the wa2000. Is there any other weapons that doesn’t require SP. Where do you find out all the damage info for weapons. Thanks for your time.
